Take advantage of the weekend with children to discover the seabed

Did you get a better way of getting to know the bottom of the sea, than trying to snorkel at the best Costa Brava beaches? A fun and fascinating way, where children and adults can enjoy the experience of seeing the seabed in all its splendour, observing, learning and above all respecting this magical and unknown environment at the same time. We encourage you to change your fishing habits and instead of fishing fish, follow our fishing methods: cans, plastic bags, shoes and a lot of objects that damage the whole coastline and the sea in general... In this way you will contribute to keep clean the fascinating submarine world that we like to visit.

Swim into river pools and discover its incredible environment with the little ones

Complement your country weekend with an excursion to one of the river pools that you can find throughout Girona region. you can access easily to most of them, so you can enjoy this natural pools with the whole family. River pools can be visited during summer time, so you can swim on it, but it is also a good idea to walk to them during other seasons of the year, since the weather is not that hot and the walk is easier to do. A good experience is to have a picnic when you arrive at the destination. Remember to respect the environment and not leave any rubbish!

Get to know the volcanoes of La Garrotxa, a very good route to do with children

If you are one of those who prefer routes through the forest or the mountain, we recommend that you visit the volcanic area of La Garrotxa. There you can find different routes to visit the volcanos of the La Garrotxa region, some of them connect with La Fageda d'en Jordà forest, where you will discover one of the most spectacular forests that exist in the area. During autumn season it is a colourful visual spectacle that cannot be missed.

Wine tourism with children? Yes, and it's really fun!

Wine tourism is becoming a more habitual practice in our territory. The rural area of Empordà region offers us different vineyards and cellars to visit. Many of them, apart from traditional wine tasting, have opted for family wine tourism, where they offer activities for the youngest, and it is a very interesting visit to complement your weekend in the area. Some vineyards of the Alt Empordà still have som remains of the the Spanish Civil War history. We recommend you the route Wine&Bunkers, offered by Cooperativa de Garriguella, very entertaining for children and adults, where you can visit the bunkers that are hidden in the middle of the vineyards, and give you a small idea of ​​how was the daily routine form people living there to defend themself from "the enemy".

Become a child and live Christmas

If the family weekend happens during Christmas time, we recommend visiting some villages where Christmas times is lived in a very intense way, where the lights and music remind us that it is less so that families meet together for long Christmas meals. You will also find different living nativity scene representations spread all over the towns, such as the living nativity scene of Bàscara.

A spectacular weekend with some recommendations

We spent the weekend of September 18 to 20, 2026. The house is spectacular and the cleanliness is top-notch. The barbecue and paella area is great and very well prepared to enjoy it. The pool area is spectacular and at night you can enjoy luminous lights that are spectacular. The kitchen has practically everything you might need, although we would recommend adding some extra kitchen towels, especially considering the capacity of the house; we were 27 people and they were a bit short. Since we went in September, we didn't get too hot and, in addition, the house has standing fans in the different rooms. Even so, with the heat waves we have been having lately, we think it would be great to have air conditioning. Personally, in the months of June, July or August I would not book it for this reason. The only negative point was the hot water. Being so many, it ran out and they had to restart the system remotely. It took quite a while to heat up again and, when it started to come out again, it was not very hot and the feeling was cold. We do not know what the solution might be, but we believe that this is an aspect that should be reviewed considering the capacity of the house and that no one suffers from running out of hot water. About the location, I was surprised that it was so close to the road because you could hear the cars and not the birds but, it's not a drama. It's just for your information. Otherwise, we had a great weekend and we loved the house.

A spectacular stay and a farmhouse of 10

We spent a fantastic weekend in this farmhouse. The place is spectacular, in a beautiful and very quiet environment. The farmhouse is very large, very well equipped and, above all, very clean and well-kept. There is nothing missing for a comfortable and pleasant stay. We also want to highlight the treatment of the owner, which has been excellent at all times, both for her kindness and for the communication, always fast and attentive. Without a doubt, a place we will return to. Highly recommended!

A very complete house with a dream outdoor space

We have been very well at the house, it has an outdoor area with the pool and sports field that have made us enjoy many fun moments. The barbecue area and indoor games are also very beautiful and practical. We only missed that the kitchen had more equipment (there are no serving trays, knives that cut, etc) and a good capsule-style coffee maker. I think the final point to make it perfect would be air conditioning, on summer nights it is very hard to sleep, we have been very hot and the fans there do not give much air. We would repeat anyway. Thank you.

Unique and spacious house in a very good location

Marzà is very close to seaside towns such as Llançà and Roses, beaches like Grifeu, and traditional towns like Peralada or Castelló d'Empúries. It is located in an agricultural and livestock environment and allows for walks on foot or by bicycle. The house is very large and has two very interesting unique rooms that we have extensively used: a covered outdoor dining room and a game and TV room.

A beautiful house for beautiful memories

We had a great week in this house, which we had rented for a family holiday with several generations. The house is pleasant and perfectly suited to a large group. We were 18 and everyone was able to find their space, while fully enjoying moments all together. We particularly appreciated the outdoors and the shared moments around meals and aperitifs. The house really allowed us to fully enjoy our holiday and to spend a very beautiful week with the family. Communication with Montserrat was also very good and she was always available when we needed information.
