Visit the Castle of Peratallada

Peratallada Castle is said to have been built in 1065. But it is not just any castle: in 1390, King John I of Aragon, known as the hunter, stayed there for a season. Currently, the central nave, the tribute tower and part of the wall are preserved.

Enter the Church of Sant Esteve

One of the essential things to do in the town of Peratallada is to visit the Church of Sant Esteve. This medieval architectural gem of the late 12th century was built in Romanesque style. It stands out for its facade and its bell tower with four pointed arches.

Stroll through the center of Peratallada

One of the mandatory stops in the historic center of Peratallada, where you will find some very interesting restored rural houses, is the Portal de la Verge, one of the main access gates to the village. Today, only the towers and walls remain, but there used to be a bridge.

After the Portal de la Verge you arrive at Carrer de la Roca. This is where the name of the village comes from: on the street you will see how the stones were cut to shape the streets of the town. If you continue straight on, you will reach Plaça dels Esquiladors and Carrer Hospital, some of the most touristic and photogenic places in the town of Peratallada.

House with a lot of charm. Idyllic to disconnect.

Stay from Friday to Sunday. Natalia, a very friendly and close owner, attended us. We did not lack anything in the house, since it is very spacious and with beautiful and comfortable rooms. Lots of space to play with the little ones and the barbecue to spend a good day with the family. All perfect.

We have already repeated several times in this house. Everything is always impeccable, very clean and tidy. The years pass, but the house remains as it was on the first day, and if not better. The owners are very formal and always attentive to any questions, comments or requests.

We have been very comfortable in the house.

Only in the windows downstairs, you could put blinds or other more opaque to save the privacy when you are inside the house. From the street, you can see everything and there is no security or bars on the windows that face the street, so, with a blow to the window, it is easy to access the interior and that causes some insecurity. Otherwise, everything well equipped and very comfortable beds.

Nice house in a quiet environment

House in a very quiet and very pleasant environment. Check in was very easy and comfortable. The house is nice and quite big. The experience has been very positive. As something to improve I would say that I consider that the barbecue that the house has is too small for 10 people. The same goes for both the outdoor and indoor tables. I consider the chairs to be poorly chosen because they take up a lot of space and make it difficult for 10 people to eat comfortably sitting at the table.
