The beginnings of Camós go back to the year 1019 around the building of the two churches. Popular culture is deeply rooted in Camós. One of the best known events is the Rose Festival. During this festival, sardanas, theatrical performances and popular lunches are organized.
If you want to know the rural world during the Roman era, you must visit the Roman village of Villauba. It is an archaeological site that shows through guided tours what the houses were like and how their inhabitants were organised. Excavations began in 1978 and continue to this day.
The natural environment of Camós is conducive to nature excursions. Throughout the term you will find signposted hiking routes that allow you to discover some of the most emblematic places in the municipality. There are also many itineraries that you can do on mountain bikes with the family. We recommend that you visit the Dalmau jump, a natural site of unique beauty.
Walking around the center of Camós you will see a group of churches of great historical value. The church of Sant Vicenç and its bell tower with a square base stand out. It was built in the 12th century and is surrounded by cypress and olive trees. The church of Santa Maria is also worth visiting. It is a one-nave building that was renovated in the 19th century.
