Can Fort

Magnificent panoramic views of the Pla de l'Estany region

Can Fort is the ancestral home of the Fort family, a family with over 7 centuries of history, now reaching its 27th generation. This latest generation has carefully restored the house, which dates back to the early 16th century, preserving its original essence and materials.

The house features spacious common rooms and large outdoor spaces with a private garden and pool, 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms (one with a whirlpool tub).

Entering the house through the main door, you access the lobby of the ground floor, where there is a game room equipped with a pool table and foosball under a spectacular Catalan vault ceiling.

Access to the first floor, where all the living areas and bedrooms are located, is via the games room using the house’s original, old-style staircase, which may be inconvenient for people with reduced mobility.

On the first floor, there are 2 living rooms with sofas, TV and DVD (one with a fireplace), 2 shared bathrooms, and 5 bedrooms: two double bedrooms (one with private bathrooms), a quadruple bedroom also with its own private bathroom and two triple bedroom. Following the corridor, you arrive at the large fully equipped kitchen, which combines three areas: the kitchen zone, the indoor dining room and a cozy corner with a fireplace. From the kitchen, there is access to a spectacular covered terrace with the barbecue area and the outdoor dining area to dine as a group, enjoying incredible panoramic views of the surroundings.

From the kitchen, descending a few stairs, you will find the ping-pong room, which leads directly to the outdoor garden, and the swimming pool.

You can access the swimming pool and the house's garden by two routes: either by descending the stairs from the kitchen and leaving through the door of the ping-pong room (without leaving the property), or by crossing the street going out the front door of the house and coming in through the garden's exterior door (this option requires leaving the house, but the outdoor space is large, safe, and very inviting).

The outdoors of the house is equipped with a large garden, a swimming pool area with a safety fence, and an outdoor play area with a goal and a volleyball net.

In 2023, it won the award for best historical tourist accommodation at the Girona Awards for Vacation Villages and Apartments.

Everything was magnificent. The only thing to mention is the frying pans: given the standard of the house, we think everything should be perfect, but the pans are a disaster and absolutely everything sticks to them. I think some good-quality pans would be appreciated. That's all.

Have a pleasant stay

As always, Naturaki hasn’t let us down, responding immediately to any problems that come up. The house is very large and comfortable, although there are a lot of stairs. It’s very clean and well equipped. The only things we missed were air conditioning and a TV in the kitchen (which is shown on the floor plans), and in summer it gets very hot because it gets sun all day. I’d also put mosquito screens on the windows so we could air the house out properly without letting flies and mosquitoes in, as there are quite a lot of them in the countryside.

What is the maximum capacity of Can Fort and how is it calculated?

The maximum capacity of Can Fort is 14 people. For your comfort and in compliance with the regulations, the maximum capacity of the house cannot be exceeded in any case.
In this house, children from 2 years old are counted when calculating the maximum capacity of the accommodation. Babies are not counted in Can Fort.

What kind of swimming pool does the house have?

When are the swimming pools opened?

Doubts about the booking, check-in and check-out times

When and how to make the payments for the reservation at Can Fort?

To be able to confirm the reservation, you will need to make a payment of a downpayment of 25% of the total reservation by card, bank transfer or using a bonus or gift check.

Can Fort offers the option of online check-in. You can pay the rest of the outstanding amounts such as the tourist tax, the deposit and the outstanding amount of the house rental in a very easy and convenient way. If you want to go directly to the house without going through our offices, you can check-in online or remotely. A few days before the day of entry (recommended between 3-4 days before), you can access the link in the booking confirmation email to check-in online and in this way, fill in the personal details of the booking holder, sign the house rental contract, attach a photo of the identity document of the reservation holder and make the payment of the outstanding amount of the reservation with a credit or debit card (house rental, tourist tax, deposit).

How can I request the invoice for the stay?

You will be able to request the invoice for your stay at Can Fort during the online check-in process where you will have the option to enter the data you want to appear on the invoice and in this way, when the stay ends , the homeowners will receive an automatic notification to prepare the invoice and they will send it to you.

What time can we check in and out of Can Fort?

This house offers the option to check-in before 17:00 with the early check-in supplement, depending on the details of each booking. During the booking process and in the confirmation email, you will informed whether this option is available for your selected dates.

If your stay dates allow it, you can add the early check-in supplement during the booking process or from your private user area up to 24 hours before your arrival date.

This house offers the option to check-out later than 17:00 with the night check-out supplement, which will allow you to enjoy the house until 21:00, depending on the features of each booking.
