The history of Cabanes and its surroundings
Although it is believed that Cabanes had a Roman past, it is not until the year 885 that it appears documented, forming part of the county of Peralada. The name of Cabanas appears shortly after, in the year 935. Although over the centuries it will have different names such as Sant Vicenti de Cabanis, Cabannas, etc. Cabanes was part of the county of Peralada for many centuries. As a curiosity: In the past, the village was located where the current cemetery is, but the flood of 1421 caused the destruction of the village and the inhabitants moved to the current location.

Very well located and very clean
House very well located, very clean. The bedding is really great. Despite the heat, the inside of the house remained cool. Pleasant exterior. We just need a little more dishes available but that's just a detail.

Rest and disconnect. Comfort, to REPEAT.
The house is fully equipped, very comfortable and convenient to enjoy it. In a quiet environment, but integrated into Capmany, so pleasant walks and good local food. Nuria has always been aware that everything was to our liking, solving our doubts and providing valuable information for other occasions. We have spent a few days accompanied by our children (25 and 22 years old) and their partners, and the stay has been comfortable for everyone. We will certainly repeat.

Great stay, great location, just great
We had a great stay and Marta is a very nice and helpful person! It's definitely value for money. Of course, there are some things that could be maintained better in the house but no deal breakers at all. Everything was there to have a relaxed stay. Would recommend going there!

The house a 10. The only problem is the flies...
The house is wonderful. We have had a great stay and the facilities cannot be faulted. We have really enjoyed both the house and the garden and pool. But we have all agreed on the amount of flies that were in the house. The kitchen was plagued, but also the dining room and even the bedrooms. It was not logical, since there were so many. I imagine it must have been due to the fertilizer that they must have been using for the fields... or the cause cannot be determined. But the reality is that it is a pity that such a wonderful house is overshadowed by this issue. Otherwise I can only say positive things. And the owner is also a charm. If that issue could be resolved, this house would be unbeatable.

We had a great stay. The house is very comfortable, has everything you need and, in good weather, is very practical as it has two dining rooms (inside and outside), perfectly equipped. The host, Jordi, is very attentive and is always at the customer's disposal for any query. The equipment for children is unbeatable.
