Experience the authentic Alt Empordà between the walls of the old castle of Espolla

Cal Ferrer del Castell is an old house built within the walls of the old Castle in Espolla. Located in the middle of the Alt Empordà region and seat of L'Albera Natural Park. The house is located in the centre of Espolla, a quiet and silent village with shops and local amenities, only 150 m from the municipal swimming pool.

There are 5 double bedrooms with own style, air conditioned and all with bathroom. In the lounge you can enjoy different themed books, board games, satellite TV, stereo and DVD. The kitchen is fully equipped. In the upper floor we find the sun terrace where we found a wooden table ideal for meals, sunbathe or enjoy the Espolla and L'Albera Natural Park views together with the singing of birds from nearby trees home. The house also has a space for clothes items like washer, dryer and iron.

The house has an outside space inside of the old castle, leads directly to an outside area with garden, made with ping-pong, swing-sofa and a barbecue. We also have a 3,5 meter modular pool available from Easter (or April 1st) until the last weekend of October.

We stayed here this weekend and it was a great success. The house was perfect; it couldn’t have been better. Everything was super clean, the bedrooms were perfect, the kitchen was outstanding, and the equipment was excellent. In short, if I stay at a house again, it’ll definitely be this one.

A house with history and a lot of charm

We've spent some great days with friends. Rita and Martí's accommodation is very well equipped and is perfect for groups, it has five rooms, all with their own bathroom, which is very convenient. The house was very clean and well maintained, and we didn't lack anything at all. In addition, it is located in an ideal area for excursions and discovering interesting corners. There are also very close wineries to visit, olive farms and charming villages. We have been very well, both for the house and for the surroundings. It is a perfect place to disconnect, enjoy with friends and get to know the Alt Empordà. We will definitely return!
