The history of Biure and its surroundings
The first mention of Biure is in 1108, in a document containing Etha's will. A century later, in 1294, King Jaume II includes Biure as a royal place, without subjection to any feudal lord. It belonged, therefore, to the battalion of Figueres. As a curiosity: The name Biure comes from the Latin bene vivere, which means to live well.

Visit the castle of Biure and the old town
Biure, despite being a small town of just over 250 inhabitants, is full of must-sees: First, its old town, included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia, with houses and alleys from the 18th and 19th centuries , like Can Sans, which is currently the City Hall. But also the castle of Biure, a set of ruined remains of a fortified building, possibly from the 15th century. Or the church of Sant Esteve de Biure, a reconstruction of the years 1702-1703. It has a single nave and side chapels.
Make excursions on foot or by mountain bike
Biure is part of the Salines-Bassegoda area and, therefore, you can take advantage of the stay in a rural house to do the many hiking or mountain biking routes that are there, such as the one that goes from Pont de Molins to Biure. If what you want is to take a walk with the family, you can go to La Fonteta, the launderette where the population used to do their laundry, the Buixó fountain path or go up to the monument to Pierre Baile, located in the path from Biure to the castle of Mont-roig.

Rest and disconnect. Comfort, to REPEAT.
The house is fully equipped, very comfortable and convenient to enjoy it. In a quiet environment, but integrated into Capmany, so pleasant walks and good local food. Nuria has always been aware that everything was to our liking, solving our doubts and providing valuable information for other occasions. We have spent a few days accompanied by our children (25 and 22 years old) and their partners, and the stay has been comfortable for everyone. We will certainly repeat.

The reality surpasses the images on the web
We had a great stay. The house is very comfortable, has everything you need and, in good weather, is very practical as it has two dining rooms (inside and outside), perfectly equipped. The host, Jordi, is very attentive and is always at the customer's disposal for any query. The equipment for children is unbeatable.

Family space that lets you breathe
We repeated! The space allows the family to be together but everyone has a space and you don't feel overwhelmed. The environment is also exceptional. Kids have everything to keep them entertained, both inside and outside. The only improvement I would hope for is to change the curtains which are not black out and too short (especially in the outer room of four and the moon wakes up young and old too early); also change some auxiliary tables and lamps that are too simple (with little investment it would raise the feeling of luxury).

Charming place that invites you to relax zen
We loved the house, comfortable, and pool area. We were a group of friends and we spent an unforgettable weekend. Nice place for walks. It has everything you need to spend a very pleasant stay.

Relax in a house with all the comforts
Ideal house to escape the city, rest and enjoy nature visiting charming villages in the area. Ideal is the barbecue area with grass where you can read a book quietly or sunbathe.
