The different centers that make up Vilademuls are documented from the 9th century. It is worth experiencing some of the popular festivals that are organized throughout the year. One of the most well-known is made in honor of Sant Joan Baptista, where a rice dish is also prepared for all visitors.

Visit the Rural Museum

One of the most important cultural spaces in Vilademuls is the Rural Museum. In this space you can see more than five hundred implements used in the field. There is also an exhibition intended to explain what life was like in these lands in the past.

Take a medieval route

Vilademuls is made up of a set of population centers that have a marked medieval past. You can take a route through the different towns and see many of the medieval buildings that are part of their architectural heritage. One of the best-known itineraries is the Salamina Soldiers' Route, which is inspired by a novel by the writer Xavier Cercas.

Discover the historic buildings

Vilademuls has an important historical heritage. The parish church of Sant Joan stands out, a 16th century building that was built with stones from the old castle. Close by is the Torre del Call and Torre de Monell dating from the 15th century. It is worth visiting the temple of Sant Julià and Santa Basilissa which dates from the 17th century or the chapel of Sant Martí, a fortified construction from the 11th century.
