Can Fort House - Sant Esteve de Guialbes
Very original lodging, an ancient fortified house, in a small village. The house is very welcoming, well equipped, and well suited for large families or groups. Close to Girona, the lodging is well situated. A little effort can be made for air conditioning: one room is not livable in case of heatwave (which was our case) and the two air conditioners in the house suppose to leave all the doors open. Contacted by email, the owners were very responsive.

A.m.Ca la Xana - With the family
Everything is thought out to feel good!
The house is very large and everything has been thought out to feel good there. All the rooms are spacious and equipped with a ceiling fan or air conditioning and the bedding and pillows are memory foam. The dome of the pool does not open completely but the water is refreshing. Initially, we feared the noise of the train passing by, but it did not bother us. Naturaki and the owner of the house are very responsive.
I recommend CA LA XANA.

Wonderful place for a family holiday!
This house met all of our expectations and was just a short drive from Girona airport. We had a lovely warm welcome from Montse, the owner, who met us and told us all about the house. She also gave us excellent recommendations for places to eat, visit etc. The saltwater pool was perfect for our 2 grandchildren and there were toys in the house for them to play with. The village has a little shop and an excellent butcher, and the craft beer/ tapas bar was great! We spent a wonderful week enjoying the house and pool and exploring the local area.

Fabulous House Stay - Already Planning Our Return!
We had a truly fantastic holiday at Can Costa. There were five of us in total, including three energetic boys under 11, and the villa was absolutely perfect for our needs. The house is huge and could easily accommodate an extended family gathering, which we’re already planning for next year.
The pool area was a real highlight. The depth was ideal for the kids to play safely, and we spent countless hours enjoying the sun and water. The outdoor kitchen was a brilliant bonus, making it easy and fun to prepare meals and eat outside together.
Inside, the villa was spotless and had everything we needed. The fans and air conditioning throughout the house made a big difference during the warmer days. The foosball table was loved by everyone and added a great bit of entertainment.
The top floor became our movie zone in the evenings, with a huge comfy sofa and a TV with Netflix and Disney+, which was perfect for relaxing after a day in the sun.
We also explored the local area and took a lovely trip to the beach, which was only about 20 minutes away.
The host was always just a phone call away and incredibly helpful with recommending places to visit and providing any information we needed during our stay.
We’ll definitely be back and have already started recommending Can Costa to friends. It was a wonderful, relaxing stay in a beautiful part of the world.
