The first written documents that mention the municipality of Crespià are from the 9th century. One of its main attractions are the walnut trees, which when they bloom give the town a unique visual appearance. It is worth visiting the Honey Fair, an event where you can taste the honey produced in the area.
In Crespià you can find local products that stand out for their quality and taste. The best known are honey and walnuts. In the term, visits are organized to the walnut cultivation fields where you can see the entire product treatment process. You can also visit a honey farm and discover how a beehive is made. At the end of the visit you can taste some of the different varieties of honey that are produced.
If you like paleontology, you must visit the paleontological site of Incarcal. It is one of the most relevant in the country due to the fact that a wide variety of both plant and animal fossils have been found. They are estimated to be between 70,000 and 1,600,000 years old. One of the most well-known is a saber-toothed feline that is on display at the Regional Archaeological Museum of Banyoles.
Crespià's natural environment is conducive to outdoor activities. On the one hand, you can make excursions to places as interesting as the hermitage of Sant Miquel de la Roca, located on a cliff above the Fluvià river. On the other hand, there are many signposted routes that you can do both on foot and by bike.
