What can you do in Alió and its Holiday cottages?

The first written references to Alió date from 1154. However, vestiges of ancient Roman sites have been found in its territory. Its winemaking tradition has motivated the appearance of wineries and brandy factories.

The historical tradition is deeply rooted in the population as can be seen in the various major festivals that are celebrated throughout the year and that have a high participation by the inhabitants of the town and where some of the typical products of the area

Visit the Agricultural Cooperative

Vineyard cultivation and wine production are some of the main economic activities in Alió. In 1909, the building of the Agricultural Cooperative was built. It was designed by Cèsar Martinell and has a modernist style. One of the most relevant aspects of this building is the combination of materials that were used for its construction such as ceramics or stone.

Discover its historic center

The historic center of Alió still preserves part of its fortified medieval town structure. Walking through its streets you can see the remains of the old wall and the castle. One of the most emblematic buildings of the town is the parish church of Sant Bartomeu . It was completed in 1769 and combines the neoclassical style with the baroque.
