The history of Riumors and its rural environment

The church of Sant Mamet and the Palau Petit de la Casa Xammar are two of the historic must-sees of this small town in Alt Empordà. Within the town itself and very close to some of the rural houses in the area, we find the church of Sant Mamet, built in the middle ages, but rebuilt in the 15th century. The other historic must-see is the main house of the Xammar family, marquises of Riumors. A building built between the 18th and 19th centuries.
