If you love the sea and the beach, you will surely like and not want to miss the best “chiringuitos” of the Costa Brava, even if it's just to escape from the torrid summer sun while you‘re having a drink, eating a snack, or relaxing in the evening listening to the murmur of the waves while sipping a cocktail or even enjoying live music under the stars.
For those who are not sure what the “chiringuitos” are, they are small constructions, often seasonal and removable, close to the beach or directly on the sand.
At Naturaki we are authentic chiringuitos lovers and we want to share with you some of the best chiringuitos on the Costa Brava:
1. XiringuitoX – Rubina's beach (Empuriabrava)
Season starts on June 11th, 2026. One of our favorites, located on one of the few beaches that accept dogs within the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà Natural Park, where there is a very pleasant atmosphere both day and night. To stretch out on one of the hammocks with a mojitoX and watch the sunset over the sea. Its specialty is barbecue and almost every summer night there is live music.
2. La Pelosa Restaurant – Cala Pelosa (Roses)
Their best dish is the paella. We recommend previous booking since it fills up quickly and the road is long and not in good conditions. A good way to get there is by boat, the same restaurant brings you the meal to the boat or they pick up you from the boat and drive you to the restaurant. This small bay is one of our top 10 beaches of the Costa Brava.
3. Che – Sant Pere Pescador's beach (Sant Pere Pescador)
Its strong point is the live music and the location, surrounded by dunes and the Bay of Roses, in front of one of the 10 best beaches of the Costa Brava. Ideal for a cocktail while enjoying the sunset, surrounded by kitesurfers.
4. Marlin Beach Bar – Sant Pere Pescador's beach (Sant Pere Pescador)
An authentic beach bar nestled between two campsites, with a friendly and fast service. They have varied tapas and scrumptious burgers! This beach bar is one of the best terraces to enjoy live music during the summer on the Costa Brava.
5. Ukelele Riuet – Riuet's beach (Sant Martí d'Empúries)
A charming place with a very welcoming decoration and tropical atmosphere, right on the beach of Riuet de Sant Martí d'Empúries and next to the Ruins of Empúries. The best parts are the natural juices, the mojitos, and their offer of healthy fusion cuisine. There is often live music.
6. Boia Nit – platja de Cadaqués (Cadaqués)
This venue is the temple of cocktails right on the beach of the picturesque village of Cadaqués, the pearl of the Costa Brava. We wouldn't know which cocktail to recommend you as all of them are true works of art.
7. Xiringuito Cala Joncols – Cala Joncols (Cap de Creus)
It's a little paradise in the middle of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, it belongs to the same hotel of Cala Jóncols. If you want to eat there, it's important to book to avoid a wasted trip. On Fridays and Saturdays in July and August, there usually is live music.
8. Toc al Mar – Aiguablava's Beach (Begur)
If you want to eat fresh fish cooked with oak wood, this is your place. You will be at the foot of the sand of the beautiful Aiguablava beach, one of the best beaches in Catalonia. In July and August it is essential to book.
9. Cala Banys Cocktail Bar – Cala Banys (Lloret de Mar)
An ideal and quiet corner, away from the crowds of Lloret de Mar, to enjoy a good aperitif at vermouth time. The best moment of the day is the dusk, a true spectacle of nature and for this reason, it's one of the best terrace bars on the Costa Brava.
