The history of Vilamalla and its surroundings
There is no record of Vilamalla until the High Middle Ages, specifically the year 974, when it is mentioned under the name of Villa Dalmalia. At that time, it was the property of the monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes and was part of the county of Empúries. It was always a small nucleus and, in fact, it did not reach a hundred inhabitants until the 18th century. From the 90s of the 20th century, however, the number of inhabitants increased considerably, reaching, today, almost 1200.

In Vilamalla you will find, above all, two essentials: the Romanesque church of Sant Vicenç, a temple from the 11th century, and the Batllia farmhouse, a 16th and 17th century farmhouse that preserves the remains of a square tower from the centuries XIII and XIV. It is supposed to have been the office and residence of the notary of Siurana. It is also worth visiting the old village washer, which has been rehabilitated.

Exceptional house for family reunion
Very well equipped house, kitchen with everything necessary for a group of 15 people. Spacious rooms, different spaces for group eating, a shame about the stifling heat of the week and the mosquitoes did not allow us to use the gazebo next to the barbecue. super-kept garden and pool. Jaume (Gardener) and the super friendly pool maintainer gave us a lot of advice for activities in the area, a big hug for them. Justina is very attentive with cleaning and small incidents.

One of the best houses we've ever visited!!
Still 2 small comments: too few sun loungers if you are 11. Too bad there is no direct passage from the square to the pool. But the house is beautiful and meets just about everything with a downright beautiful kitchen.

Pleasant villa and welcoming host
We spent 2 very pleasant weeks in the villa, with 14 people. Anna is a very welcoming, kind and very caring host. She prepared a very good Catalan cream for us. Good geographical location to be able to walk everywhere, very quiet and typical villa with very nice little corners everywhere and a very pleasant swimming pool. A great stay. THANKS!

VERY GOOD EXPERIENCE, BUT WITH SMALL IMPROVEMENTS IT COULD BE EXCEPTIONAL!
Maybe we are very demanding, but after being in many houses of this type, for us it is the best for the spaces it has, but it does not reach excellence for small details, which in our view are easy to solve, such as: having mosquito nets in all rooms, good shade in the pool area, curtains or blinds to prevent the sun from entering the house and a clothesline with conditions for hanging the clothes from the pool or washing machine.

Regarding the shade of the pool, comment that we have put sun umbrellas at the request of a customer, and we ask that when it is windy, they close to avoid problems. As for the clothesline, there were 2 of them and they broke. That's why we put a fixed one. La Blauet en Ventalló: a great choice for a holiday in the Alt Empordà region
A magnificent house with all the necessary comforts to spend holidays with family and friends (we were 6 adults and 6 children) in a rural environment but well connected, between 15min and 45min from all the beaches and towns that are worth a visit. The hosts are always attentive and ready for any question. 100% recommended!
