The history of Pont de Molins and its surroundings

There is evidence that, in Roman times, there was a small rural settlement on the banks of the river and the Via Augusta and that, surely, it was then when the first mills were built. It is not, however, until the 10th century that we can speak of a population center close to the left bank of the Muga river, which belonged to the castle of Llers and was called Molendinos or Molinos.
