The first written documents of Olost are from the year 908. One of the best-known constructions is the castle of Olost, a Baroque-style building that houses an important collection of paintings. You must also see the Perot Rocaguinarda space, a center where you will see an exhibition on the figure of this well-known Lluçanès bandit. On the other hand, throughout the town you will find restaurants where you can taste traditional Catalan and Osona dishes.

Olost has an important religious heritage. One of the most outstanding buildings is the church of Santa Maria d'Olost. It dates from the end of the 18th century and has two bell towers. You must also see the hermitage of Sant Adjutori. It was completed in 1717 and is located at a height of 623 meters, which allows you to enjoy exceptional views of the entire municipality. It has been reformed several times throughout its history, precisely the last reform was made in 1989.
