What can you do in Oristà and its Holiday cottages?

Archaeological remains from the Bronze Age have been found in Oristà. However, the first written references are from the year 908. Throughout the municipality you can see buildings of great historical value such as the parish temple of Oristà which dates from the year 923. You must also visit the hermitage of Sant Nazari de la Garriga or Sant Salvador de Serrallops where you will see elements of Romanesque art.

Enjoy its natural landscape

Oristà is surrounded by a landscape of great natural interest. In fact, from some of the highest points in the municipality you can see Montserrat or Pedraforca. If you want to do a hiking route, we recommend that you go to the Tres Códols cliff. Along the way you will be able to see engravings from different eras. In addition, throughout the territory there are many farmhouses of great architectural value. Some of the best known are Mas la Quintana, Mas Tonamira or Mas Altarriba.

Traditions are deeply rooted in Oristà. One of the most important events is the Craft Fair, where you can find everything from artisan stalls offering products such as sausages, cakes, cheeses, ceramics, etc. On the other hand, some artisans such as stonemasons, bootmakers, among others, show how their products work. In autumn, in the month of October, a popular walk is held in which there is a mushroom competition.
