(Updated December 2021)
When Christmas approaches, there are special days to be among friends and family, we would like to make a special mention of the representation of the “Live Nativity scene in Bàscara”.
Since Christmas of 1973, in the province of Girona, specifically in this small village of Alt Empordà by the river Fluvià, we are privileged to see the representation of the “Live Nativity scene in Bàscara”. A live nativity scene in a privileged environment in this villa in l’Empordà on the banks of the River Fluvià with its walls, cobblestone streets, cliffs, springs and caves.
The Nativity is represented by more than 300 actors of the town of Bàscara and surroundings. All this show represents the birth of Jesus in Palestine 2000 years ago.
No doubt this is one of the best-known province Nativities, ideal for having a good time with family, with friends, with the couple or alone.
The representation takes place on December the 19th, 25th and 26th and January the 1st and 2nd (please confirm dates as we have prepared this information in advance and might be some changes).
