The history of Ventalló and its surroundings
Due to its location, between wetlands and lowland, Ventalló has had settlements since the Neolithic. Although documented sites have been located there from the 1st century BC to the 8th century and it is known that it was a passage area for both the Greek and Roman Empúries, it is not mentioned until the 11th century, when it belonged to the county of Empúries. Most buildings and remains, however, are Romanesque and belong to the last four centuries.

Exceptional house for family reunion
Very well equipped house, kitchen with everything necessary for a group of 15 people. Spacious rooms, different spaces for group eating, a shame about the stifling heat of the week and the mosquitoes did not allow us to use the gazebo next to the barbecue. super-kept garden and pool. Jaume (Gardener) and the super friendly pool maintainer gave us a lot of advice for activities in the area, a big hug for them. Justina is very attentive with cleaning and small incidents.

Ideal house for family and relax
The house is very well prepared. The pool and the garden are the favorite part of the little ones. And the location is perfect for visiting towns on the Costa Brava.

Tranquility and absolute disconnection
We have enjoyed the house and its facilities and I have to say that I think it is the house with more kitchenware and accessories than I have used on my vacation, nothing is missing, there are plenty of towels, pool towels, cleaning products and kitchen basics. I really recommend it, and I have to say that the owner is very friendly and accessible.

We received a very warm welcome from Montse upon our arrival and we spent two wonderful weeks in the Ca l'Avi Pere gîte. This was our first time in this magnificent region of Catalonia and we were not disappointed at all. We will keep wonderful memories.

Pleasant villa and welcoming host
We spent 2 very pleasant weeks in the villa, with 14 people. Anna is a very welcoming, kind and very caring host. She prepared a very good Catalan cream for us. Good geographical location to be able to walk everywhere, very quiet and typical villa with very nice little corners everywhere and a very pleasant swimming pool. A great stay. THANKS!
