What can you do in l'Esquirol and its Holiday cottages?

In L'Esquirol, the dolmen of Puigsespedres has been found, a tomb dating from the megalithic period and which still preserves the burial chamber. You can also visit the Cabrera castle. A building from the 10th century of which the hermitage or the lower part of the tower currently remains. You cannot leave the town without trying one of its typical dishes such as rabbit with rum or duck with pears.

Discover their churches

Throughout the territory of L'Esquirol there are many churches that are part of the town's historical heritage. One of the best known religious buildings is the sanctuary of Santa Maria de Cabrera. It was built between 1611 and 1641 and offers spectacular views of the entire area. Another building of interest is the Romanesque church of Sant Bartomeu Sesgorgues which dates from the 12th century or Santa Margarida de Vilaseca which is from the 17th century.

Visit the Gorgues stream

One of the most beautiful places in L'Esquirol is the Gorgues stream. Although it crosses the terminus, it ends up directly in the Sau swamp. If you follow its path you will see many waterfalls and old flour mills. On the other hand, we recommend that you visit the Barra de Ferro, one of the most spectacular cliffs of the entire route, due to the fact that it has a drop of more than eighty meters.
