Autumn is here, days are getting shorter, the coats are already hanging at the entrance of the house, the wind is blowing hard in some parts of Girona and the Costa Brava, but this is no excuse not to leave the house. Today we suggest 10 autumn plans that will make you enjoy this beautiful time of the year, when the landscape is tinged with browns, yellows, oranges and reds.
1. Go out and look for mushrooms
A classic of classics: going mushroom picking. But watch out, you shouldn't take the first ones you see, a little knowledge is essential to avoid a good stomach ache. 2. A thermal bath in Magma
Now that cold weather is starting to set in, a thermal bath will delight the coldest. 3. Open doors in the museums during the Girona fairs

8. Take a horse-drawn carriage ride through La Fageda d’en Jordà
Within the Natural Park of the Garrotxa, which is a Volcanic area you will find the nature reserve of La Fageda d'en Jordà. A magical place to visit in autumn for the changing tones of the leaves of this beech forest that grows on the ancient lava flow of the Croscat volcano between the municipalities of Santa Pau, Olot and les Preses. 9. Go to the theater in Temporada Alta

10. Make panellets
An activity that you can do on an autumn afternoon is to prepare the typical and delicious panellets, these little cakes made with sugar and almond dough. There are many types, shapes and tastes of panellets, although the most typical are almond and pine nuts. Generally, they are very simple recipes that can be made by the little ones at home, always with the supervision of an adult.
