What can you do in Tiana and its Holiday cottages?

Tiana's history dates back to Roman times. Vestiges dating from the 3rd and 4th centuries have been found. Throughout its history, Tiana has been invaded by pirates, causing its population to dwindle. With the arrival of the train in neighboring Montgat, the municipality accelerated its changes and expanded.

One of the most important buildings in the town is the hermitage of Our Lady of Joy. It is built on an old Roman temple and its style is late Gothic. Every year, during Easter Monday, one of the most relevant traditions of Tiana is celebrated. Specifically, it is the Aplec de l'Alegria, where you can taste the typical cakes.

Visit the Serralada de Marina Park

This green space has rounded hills. The presence of farmhouses and medieval buildings that recall its past stands out. In the park you will find several itineraries that you can do on foot or by bike and that cross municipalities such as Cabrera de Mar, Argentona, Cabrils or Vilassar de Dalt.

Discover the charterhouse of Santa Maria de Montalegre

This monastery dates from the year 1415 and was erected for the hermitic monastic life. It belongs to the Carthusian order. Although the monastery does not receive visitors, an open mass is celebrated in the chapel on Sundays. In fact, it is the only charterhouse in Catalonia that today still maintains a community of monks.
