The history of Santa Coloma de Gramenet dates back to 3500 BC. Remains of an ancient Iberian village have been found in the Puig del Castellar. After the War of Succession, the municipality experienced strong growth.

This museum was the summer residence of the relatives of the well-known writer Josep Maria de Segarra. Its building stands out for having a Romanesque tower and a circular floor plan. Inside its facilities you can see archeology and natural history collections. Temporary exhibitions of works of art are also organized and it is the headquarters of the Historical Archive of the City.
Natural spaces are also very important in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. One of the best-known places is the Can Zam park, where you can find the farmhouse that gives it its name. On the other hand, the banks of the Besòs river have been recovered and bicycle lanes have been made available. You can also take advantage and go on an excursion to the Serra de la Marina, from where you can enjoy exceptional views of the town.
