Discover its cultural heritage

In Roquetes you will find the Observatori de l'Ebre, an institute that was founded in 1904 and is dedicated to the study of meteorology and the relationship between the Sun and the Earth. Thanks to technological advances, the observatory is equipped with a seismic station, the first to be set up in Catalunya.

Other buildings of interest that you can visit are the town hall, the municipal market or the old slaughterhouse. A building that combines a modernist and noucentist style and which is currently the information point for the Parc Natural dels Ports. You can also visit old oil mills and the bell tower clock workshop, the only one left in Catalunya.

It celebrates its popular festivals

At the beginning of July, the Festa Major de Roquetes is celebrated, where numerous activities are organized for children and adults such as dances, concerts and exhibitions. The last weekend of August celebrates the Tradicionàrius de les Terres de l'Ebre , a festival where there are numerous activities and performances to vindicate popular music.
