Being located in the parc natural dels Ports, the outdoor activities you can do are very wide, such as hiking routes or climbing . You also have many mountain routes that you can do by bike and on which you will see white pine forests. The historic center of Alfara de Carles has narrow cobbled streets as well as buildings of great cultural interest. You will also find traditional shops selling handicraft products.

Of the Castell de Carles only remains of the walls are located on a peak in the municipality. Another interesting building is  l'Església de Sant Agustí, located next to the town hall. Its imposing bell tower stands out, which can be seen from different parts of the town.

In the Pallarès factory you will see how different cutting tools are made. In fact, their razors are well known throughout Spain. You can take a guided tour of their facilities and buy their products in their own store.

If you want to see a natural area with numerous water sources, you can do the Ruta del Toscar and visit the hermitages in the area. L'ermita of Sant Julià and Santa Magdalena are from the 18th century and have a space for picnics.
