Remains of Roman settlements have been found in Rodonyà , such as the necropolis of Can Pedrós. The cultivation of vines and olive trees is one of its main economic activities. The cellar of the cooperative that was founded in 1932 and has a modernist style stands out.
The orography of the land is not excessively difficult, and that is why you can do hiking routes on foot or by bike with the family. One of the most well-known is the one that goes up to the top of Puig and offers you the possibility to enjoy magnificent views. One of the most emblematic buildings in Rodonyà is its medieval castle. It was built in the 13th century and stands out for its large dimensions. Its exterior walls are in a good state of conservation and are crowned with battlements. Next to the castle you will find the church of Sant Joan Baptista. It dates from the 18th century and is of neoclassical style.
Popular culture is deeply rooted among the population of Rodonyà. One of the most well-known celebrations is that of the blessed bread that is organized during the main festival. Another tradition that has been maintained since the beginning of the 20th century is the Ball Parlat de Sant Joan Degollat.
