The beginnings of Figuerola del Camp go back to the 10th century. During the 13th century it became the property of the monastery of Poblet until Mendizábal's confiscation. Tools from the Neolithic period have been found in Cova del Gat . On the outskirts of the town you can see the Torre de la Mixarda , an old watchtower dating from the 12th century.
