The beginnings of Figuerola del Camp go back to the 10th century. During the 13th century it became the property of the monastery of Poblet until Mendizábal's confiscation. Tools from the Neolithic period have been found in Cova del Gat . On the outskirts of the town you can see the Torre de la Mixarda , an old watchtower dating from the 12th century. It is ten meters high and from the upper parts you can enjoy exceptional views of the area.

Walking through the historic center you can see buildings of great cultural interest. One of the most important is the church of Sant Jaume , a building built in the 18th century. Another interesting building is the Casa dels Monjos de Poblet. It dates from the 15th century and was owned by Poblet until 1835.
