The history of Aldover dates back to prehistoric times, due to the fact that remains of flint points have been found. In the sites of Vall del Llop i de la Conca you will be able to see numerous samples of historical elements. There are also vestiges of Muslim occupation until its reconquest and subsequent cession to Tortosa.

Its strategic location allows you to enjoy natural areas of great beauty such as the Ebro river beach or paratge de les Olles. You can also take advantage and visit some of its historical monuments such as the Església de la Nativitat, in neoclassical style and where remains of the old calvary are still preserved.

Discover its natural landscapes

The Aldover river beach is the widest swimming area on the Ebre River . Don't miss the opportunity to take a bath, especially in the summer. Very close you will find the jetty, from where you can go canoeing or kayaking on the Ebre River . There is also a picnic area. Another very interesting place is the paratge de les Olles. It is a ravine that has numerous signs of erosion and where you can see stagnant water throughout the year.

Centre d'Interpretació del Riu Ebre

The center has two permanent exhibitions. One is dedicated to the flora and fauna that you can find in the riverside forest and along the entire length of the Ebre River. The second exhibition shows Aldover from prehistoric times to the present day.
