Hello, We are writing because this weekend we have had a significant problem with the house we rented with you, and we would like it to go on record. The bathroom on the ground floor, the one corresponding to one of the downstairs rooms, was clogged and we could not use it at all. The owner warned us that there had been a problem, but she told us that it was already fixed and that we should just not flush too much. The reality, however, was that just flushing once was enough to make water overflow everywhere. For us, this has been a major inconvenience because we always look for houses with rooms and bathrooms on the ground floor for my parents, as they have mobility difficulties. Furthermore, my father needs to go to the bathroom often during the night due to a medical issue, and the fact that they could not use this bathroom forced them to constantly climb stairs to use the toilet and shower. While it is true that there was another smaller bathroom on the ground floor, this was not really a suitable alternative for them either, as it was located under a staircase and they could hardly even stand up straight in it, which made it very uncomfortable and inaccessible, especially considering their age and mobility difficulties. It is true that the owner sent us a handyman, and we appreciate that, but to be honest, the situation took us by surprise because he came on a motorbike without any tools or materials to be able to fix the problem. For that reason we also did not understand why he came at that time, as the bathroom remained exactly the same and unusable. We have been booking rural houses with you for years and, although on occasion we have encountered small issues, we have never said anything. But honestly, in this case, we have felt somewhat disappointed because this is an important issue that greatly affected our stay. We always meet all the requirements and make the payments and follow the conditions as you set them, and for that reason we also hope that these types of situations will be reviewed and taken into account in the future. This issue had not been notified by previous guests and I detected it on Wednesday. At that moment, I alerted a plumber, who confirmed that the problem had been solved. On Friday, before your arrival, I personally checked the bathroom again and verified that it was working, although the flush was a bit slow, which is why I recommended that you flush it twice. When you warned me that the problem persisted, I contacted several plumbers during Saturday to try to find an urgent solution. Unfortunately, the only professional who could attend to me that same day was the one who finally went to the house and confirmed that the repair was more complex than it initially seemed. I perfectly understand your disappointment and I'm sorry that this issue conditioned your stay. Throughout the weekend, I was attentive to the situation and trying to manage it in the best possible way. A very peaceful place, surrounded by forest and the sounds of nature, with very easy hikes around for children and adults. The facilities are very clean and well-kept with lots of details. Very functional kitchen, we only missed a large paella pan to make rice for 10.
