Neolithic human settlements have been found in the area. In fact, Ulldecona is part of the Rock Art Route of Catalunya. One of the best-known buildings in Ulldecona is its medieval castle. Its origins date back to the 12th century. At present the building has two towers, a church and two lines of walls. Its location offers splendid views of the whole town.

You must also visit the historic center of Ulldecona. Some of the buildings such as the Casa de la Feligresa are the work of the modernist architect Cèsar Martinell. The església Gòtica de Sant Lluc or the stately homes are other buildings of maximum interest.

Olive cultivation is deeply rooted in Ulldecona.
