Tivissa is located on a hill, which means that it dominates the Ebro valley. It is also the second largest municipality in the province of Tarragona. Stroll through its medieval core

The old town of Tivissa is made up of intertwined streets that have great charm. We recommend that you visit the old castle and the Plaça del Mercat, where trials used to be held. One of the most outstanding monuments is l'Església Arxiprestal de Sant Jaume. A building that combines different styles and has great majesty.

To commemorate the expulsion of the Saracens by the inhabitants of Tivissa, l'Ermita de Sant Blai was built. In 1858 it was reformed and is currently in Gothic style. Popular festivals are celebrated in Tivissa throughout the year. On the feast of Sant Blai there is a march on foot to the hermitage. The Festa majo r is celebrated on July 25. Numerous activities and exhibitions are organized for several days. During the Corpus Christi festival, many inhabitants of Tivissa decorate with flower carpets the points through which the procession passes.
