The beginnings of Sant Agustí de Lluçanès go back to the year 905. The main street of the town is called Alou and preserves a rural baroque style architecture. Walking along this street you can see buildings such as the church of Sant Genís del Pi, a building that had been part of the Ripoll monastery.
The gastronomy of this town is based on restaurants that offer traditional Catalan dishes with seasonal products. Be sure to try the different mushroom specialties.
The Santuari dels Munts is at one of the highest points in Sant Agustí de Lluçanès. Its beginnings date back to before the year 1170, so it is a place with a long Marian tradition in the municipality. Its church was built at the end of the 17th century. Inside you can see a Romanesque image of Santa Maria that dates from the 13th century and was restored in 192
The highest point of Sant Agustí de Lluçanès is the mountain range. It is located at an altitude of 1059 meters and offers you extraordinary views of different parts of the Catalan territory. On one side you can see the entire Lluçanès plateau and the Torelló valley. On the other side you will see Montseny, the Pyrenees and the Pedraforca massif.
