La Ribera d'Ebre is a region with 14 municipalities. It borders Deltra de l'Ebre, the Costa Daurada and the Priorat region. In Flix you will find a shelter excavated on the rock that has been turned into a museum where you can see what the inside of these buildings looked like. The refugi de Benissanet is another example of a shelter made by the population itself to protect itself from the bombings of Franco's aviation. In Riba-roja, much of the structure of the old trenches is still preserved. If you get close to Ascó you can visit the camp of the XV Corps of the Ebre Army . From here the withdrawal of the republican troops was planned.
The range of activities you can do in Ribera d'Ebre is very varied. We recommend the Camí Natural de l'Ebre . Local products have a great weight in the economy of Ribera d'Ebre. In the wine cellars of the region you will find wines made in-house . All the grapes come from our own harvests and are processed in a completely artisanal way. We recommend that you try Vimblanc . A raisin wine that is highly appreciated as an accompaniment to desserts. Dairy products are up to the most demanding palates. Taste some of the sheep or goat cheeses and sausages . They are delicious! Fruit is also one of the star local products. The peaches of Benissanet are recognized after the territory.
Many municipalities in Ribera d'Ebre keep much of their traditions. Crafts is one of them. Many artisans you will find there are heirs to a long family tradition. In Miravet , the potter's guild stands out. On the outskirts of the towns, many artisans have their workshops open to the public. This way you can see how they work and you can also take the opportunity to buy some of their pieces. In Rasquera you can find artisans working the palm tree to make baskets, baskets, carpets, etc. Many of them are women who take training courses in their art for both adults and children.
Ribera d'Ebre has many natural spaces that you can enjoy on foot or by bike. In Flix you will find la Reserva de Sebes.
