What can you do in La Masó and its Holiday cottages?

One of the main attractions of the Masó is that it still preserves part of its medieval heritage in good condition. One of the most outstanding buildings is the parish church of Santa Magdalena. It was built in the 19th century and is of neo-Romanesque style. Another building you must see is Casa Benet, declared of national historical interest.

Agriculture is one of the main economic activities of the town. You cannot leave without trying one of its typical products such as hazelnuts or oil.

Take a trip along the banks of the Francolí

The Francolí river passes through the Masó. You can take the opportunity to take a trip along the river bank with the family and see a river landscape of great beauty as well as the native flora and fauna of the area. In addition, along the way you can see some of the medieval remains that are still preserved throughout the territory.

Discover his Templar past

After the reconquest, the Masó passed into the hands of the Templars thanks to the donation made by Berenguer de Molnells. However, a century later and before its fall, the Templars sold their property, which passed into the hands of the monastery of Santes Creus. As a witness of this Templar presence, on the outskirts of the town you can see the Selva mill. Although it is in a poor state of preservation, it still retains some of its grandeur.
