Holiday cottages in els Garidells

The first references to the Garidells are from the 12th century. During this time it passed through several lords such as the Castellet or the Rosell. In 1582 it was sold to the monastery of Santes Creus. One of the most outstanding buildings in the town is the parish church of Sant Jaume, a small building with a square-based bell tower.

Popular traditions are still deeply rooted among the inhabitants of the Garidells. One of the most celebrated festivals is the Festa Major d'estiu, where all kinds of fun activities are organized for both adults and scoundrels.

One of the most outstanding elements of the Garidells is its old feudal castle. Currently, only a visible part remains. As a curiosity, this building lacks certain defensive elements such as the moat or the wall. You can also see part of its interior outbuildings that were used for agricultural activity.

Part of the Garidells natural environment is located around the Francolí River. You can take advantage and go on an excursion along its shore, from where you can see a very interesting flora and fauna. If you like hiking, you can take one of the routes that reach the Vinyeta hill or the Roig hill . From this location you will enjoy splendid views of the town.
