What can you do in Gurb and its Holiday cottages?

The streets of Gurb are steeped in history. This town has a very important historical heritage resulting from its medieval past. One of the most important buildings is the parish church of Sant Andreu de Gurb. It has a Romanesque origin that dates back to the 10th century. However, during the 17th century it underwent a reform and a Baroque portal was added. During the Spanish Civil War, the baroque altar was stolen, but was later restored. On the other hand, all over Gurb you will find restaurants of traditional Catalan cuisine.

In the center of Gurb and next to the parish church of Sant Andreu is the castle. In fact, the first written documents that refer to the castle are from the year 886. However, during the 14th century it suffered a strong degradation process that left it badly damaged. In 1968, excavations found the remains of a large tower and the wall as well as the chapel of Sant Esteve.
