What can you do in Begues and its Holiday cottages?

The first written documents referring to Begues are from the year 972. During part of its history it was under the rule of the barony of Eramprunyà. Walking through its historic center you can see some buildings of great interest such as the Vella Church, a building that was built in the 16th century and has a Renaissance portal. Other buildings that you must see are the houses of Cal Traginer or Cal Fusteret, which date from the 19th century.

Stroll through the Garraf Natural Park

The Garraf Natural Park offers you a unique landscape full of karst forms. Its natural wealth is exceptional and you can enjoy exceptional views of the Mediterranean Sea. There are many routes that you will find throughout the park. One of the most well-known is the one that goes up to Puig de la Mola, where you will cross a Mediterranean landscape where oaks or pines stand out and you will also see an old medieval hospital.

Visit its medieval farmhouses

The medieval past of Begues is reflected in many of its historic buildings. Its farmhouses are one of its greatest exponents. One of the best known is Can Sadurní. In its interior, presses and other utensils used for winemaking are still preserved. Very close to the farmhouse there is an archaeological site where remains of Iberian ceramics have been found. Another important farmhouse is Can Vendrell. It dates from the 13th century and was an old barn.
