Curiosities of Aspa
There are two episodes that mark the history of Aspa. On the one hand, the
Middle Ages , when, after the reconquest, the town was given to the bishop and chapter of
Lleida. The other is the construction in
1881 of the Town Hall and the town square , in which all the inhabitants participated in exchange for a tax remission.

The surroundings of Aspa invite you to stroll through the olive fields while you discover various dry stone constructions. We suggest an excursion that leaves the town in a south-west direction and skirts the river Set until you reach the Roca del Diable , a large stone next to the river, which legend says is marked by the hand of the devil, who he had to stop falling on top of her. On this route, you will enjoy very good views of the Protected Natural Area of Mas de Melons.
In Aspa, there is a hundred-year-old oak , cataloged among the century-old trees of Segrià, and which is located in the Bassabona section.
