Holiday cottages in Almoster

Almoster appears documented for the first time in 1582. However, there are Neolithic and Roman remains around the municipality. Walking through its old town you will be able to see some buildings of great historical value such as Cal Jardí, a Renaissance building from the 16th century that stands out for having a large portal.

Outside Almoster you will find several natural spaces where you can do outdoor activities. We recommend that you visit the Barranc del Picarany, a space where you can see a Mediterranean forest landscape and from where you can access the Puig d'en Cama and its spectacular views of the region.

Popular culture is deeply rooted in Almoster. If you visit the town during the main festival, we recommend that you attend the Coet de Festes. It is an act that serves as the starting point for the celebrations and has become quite a ritual. Another very prominent festival is the Oil Festival. It is one of the oldest in Catalunya and you can taste DOP Siurana oils that are produced by the Cooperativa Agrícola d'Almoster.

Almoster is surrounded by numerous paths from which you can take hiking routes. You have the option of going into the mountains of Prades and seeing its indigenous flora and fauna or strolling through its agricultural fields and seeing a rural landscape of great beauty.
