What can you do in Agramunt and its Holiday cottages?

The beginnings of Agramunt go back to the year 1070 when the town was occupied by the Count of Urgell to face the Arab occupation. During the Spanish Civil War it was bombed which caused great destruction. From the center of the municipality, several paths lead into the surrounding woods. A very popular event that takes place in October is the Nougat Fair and chocolate on the stone.

One of Agramunt's best-known products is nougat and stone chocolate. In the Museum of Nougat and Chocolate you will be able to learn first-hand its entire history and how its manufacture has evolved over time. You can also take the opportunity to visit one of the town's nougat factories and taste their products.

Discover its historical monuments

Agramunt is a town that gathers monuments and buildings of great historical value. Walking through the church square you will be able to see two of the town's most important buildings. One is the church of Santa Maria, which began to be built in the 12th century. It is a single-storey building with three naves. As a fact of interest you should know that its apse served as a wall in Agramunt until the 18th century. Another notable building is the town hall, which dates from the 18th century and has a baroque style. Don't forget to visit Montclar Castle either, a building from the year 981 that is built on top of an old Roman tower.
