Sorry, but we don't have any accommodation near Tornabous
The first beginnings of Tornabous go back to the Iron Age as evidenced by the presence of the Iberian site of Molí de l'Espígol. However, it is not until the 11th century that the first written documents that refer to the municipality appear. Throughout its territory you can see buildings and monuments from different eras such as the Romanesque or the Renaissance.
Paths and footpaths pass through Tornabous that cross different towns in l'Urgell. One of the best known is the Camí de Sant Jaume. It is an itinerary marked with shells and yellow arrows that goes from Tàrrega to Balaguer and passes through different municipalities. It has been declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco.
Tornabous is a town that has numerous historical buildings and monuments. One of the most relevant is the parish church of Santa Maria. It is a medieval construction dating from the 12th century. Its altar stands out, in which an image of the Virgin and Child from the 14th century is still preserved. On the edge of the church is the seat of the Town Hall, a Renaissance-style building with large windows. Another place you must see is the Iberian town of Molí de l'Espígol. Its origins date back to the Iron Age and it still has houses and water pipes.
