Summer Festivals of the Costa Brava 2026
1. Jardins de Cap Roig Festival (Calella de Palafrugell)
From July 3rd to August 18th, 2026
With an open-air stage with capacity for 2,118 spectators, it takes place in an impressive natural setting of 17 hectares facing the sea in one of the most important Mediterranean botanical gardens at Calella de Palafrugell. We won't lie to you, the views are spectacular. If you are not impressed by any of the artists who participate (which would be strange, as there is something for everyone, even Peppa Pig has performed there) or if the dates do not suit you, you can visit the garden anyway! In the spring, it's an explosion of colours.
2. Porta Ferrada Festival (Sant Feliu de Guíxols)
From July 10th to August 19th, 2026
In Sant Feliu de Guíxols, it impregnates every corner of the Catalan village of the best cultural offer, in a unique environment to fully enjoy all their proposals. It's an indescribable pleasure to hear Ludovico Einaudi piano in a place like Sant Feliu de Guíxols harbour with the moon and the smell of the sea in the background. It gives you goosebumps!
3. Castell de Peralada Festival (Peralada)
From July 17th to August 29th, 2026
It takes place in the medieval ensemble of Peralada Castle along with its gardens. The Auditorium, located within the castle's gardens, is the ideal space for concerts on summer nights. Opera, ballet, theater? It offers options for all tastes. Apart from the Festival, Peralada's life revolves around wine culture, therefore, if you like it, before the concert you can visit one of the best wineries in Alt Empordà region, right next to the castle.
4. PortalBlau Festival (L'Escala - Empúries)
From May 16th to October 17th, 2026
In the village of L'Escala, it has emblematic scenes of the village as the Sea of Manassa and the Archaeological Site of Empúries. It offers concerts, cultural exhibitions, screenings, visual arts, panel discussions and other events. We can say that listen to Manel with the illuminated Site of Empúries as stage and feeling the chilly breeze is priceless.
5. Ítaca Festival (Several towns of the Empordà)
From May 8th to July 5th, 2026
Is a festival that includes cultural proposals at an affordable price. As a curiosity, to fight the unfair VAT of 21%, all festival tickets during the 2014 edition were apples. This way the audience saved the abusive tax and paid only 4%!
