To be a kid again for a while with them is priceless!
1. Astronomical observatory of Albanyà

Have you ever been embroidered watching the stars? At the Albanyà Astronomical Observatory, you will find the largest automated telescope in the province of Girona. They make astronomical baptisms, in order to bring the world of astronomy closer to groups of children and adults. To see the stars closer than ever! If it is a clear sky night, it will be an unforgettable experience.
2. Visit to the "La Fageda" Cooperative

It's worth a visit to this farm near Fageda d'en Jordà, where you will see the cows in production, the preparation room, the calves, and the milking room. Once in the factory, from the outside you will see how they transform the milk into yogurts and desserts, as well as the different processes of production and fermentation. Finally, they will also show you how they make jams in their factory. You can also play farmer for a day by lending a hand.
3. Butterfly Park (Castelló d'Empúries)

In the beautiful heart of Alt Empordà, there is a paradise of butterflies, parrots, and other exotic animals. It is a unique park in Catalonia where both young and old can observe the animals in the midst of nature in full activity and learn about their life cycles. You can feed the birds, you will walk through bat caves, see butterflies of unimaginable colours, and take incredible pictures. One of the 10 themed parks in Girona and the Costa Brava.
4. The prehistoric caves of Serinyà

Visiting these prehistoric caves next to Banyoles, you can get close to the scene where the hunting collectors of this time lived. It is the best site in Western Europe to know the evolution of Neanderthal man to modern man. An ideal visit for the restless little ones to find out where we came from and how we lived. We recommend you to take the guided tour.
5. Adventure Park of Sant Feliu de Guíxols

Circuit on the trees, canyoning, railways, paintball, hiking, orientation … In this park you will enjoy regardless of your age, as they offer fun and exciting circuits installed in the trees to be able to move from tree to tree without touching the ground, making Tibetan bridges, climbing stairs, going downhill, making Tarzan jumps, networks, tunnels, slides and many other adventures. Ideal to enjoy with family.
6. Boat trip on the lake of Banyoles

We love Banyoles, that is why we have spoken in different posts. What better, however, than changing perspective and this time taking a ride around the lake by boat! Navigating with Tirona (the boat) will see the lake from a privileged point of view and you will be able to observe the wild and idyllic places of this site. From the 21 fisheries that surround the eastern part of the lake, the various mountains in the north and the extensive flora and fauna.
7. Mona Foundation in Riudellots de la Selva

The MONA Foundation and its rehabilitation center give a second chance to chimpanzees and macacos rescued from circuses, TV sets, advertising, etc. and offer them a second life in their habitat among other primates. With a visit to the foundation, you can see the work they do and be aware of the problems these species are facing (extinction, illegal traffic, abuse in the name of the entertainment industry …). Fortunately, all these problems can be solved by raising awareness about the need to protect nature and our closest evolutionary relatives.
8. Ter river Kayak route

Along the Ter River on the stretch that runs the area between Colomers and Verges, there are two types of boats: Kayaks and Canadian Canoes (2 adults and 2 children can fit in). This first section we propose (approximately 2 hours) is an easy and very fun section to make a family, with lots of vegetation on both banks of the river. You can easily see birds, water turtles or mammals, always depending on the season. A van picks you up to the destination and takes you back to Colomers.
9. Karting in l'Escala

If you need to bring out adrenaline, Karting l'Escala makes it easy for you. Along its 750m tracks you will feel like Formula 1 riders and when you finish the race you can even go up to the podium to celebrate the race. For the smaller ones it is necessary to know that they also have two place Karts, in order to be able to accompany them. Helmet and speed up!
