January has arrived and with it the end of Christmas excesses. We ate nougat, sausages, stew, roasted meat, cannelloni and sweets. Some of us have also toast with wine, Cava and made the table talk with digestive liqueurs. Christmas, for many of us, is that time of year when we put routine aside and in which in less than 10 days we pig out culinary talking. We have eaten a lot and moved no much, which causes many of us to start January with a filling sensation that is hard for us to get out of.
Today, we want to suggest you 8 tips in order to burn the excesses of this Christmas holiday so that you can feel again as light and vital as you deserve!
1. Get out for a walk
Reduce screen hours and go for a walk - it's the simplest sport out there and can be done everywhere: in the woods, on the beach, in the city, in the countryside, on the gym tape, by one of the numerous coastal paths in our area... The most important thing is to do it at a good pace and walk at least 20 minutes a day.
2. Breakfast - The most important meal
Start your day with a good breakfast, and if you can add protein (not necessarily of animal origin) much better. This will allow you to have quality energy at the beginning of the day and to be able to endure in a better mood the first hours of the day. This will reduce your appetite for hours.
3. Sleep more hours
Often, the excesses of partying also invade us. Taking good care of your sleep from time to time is very healthy and necessary. If you feel tired at 9 pm, why not go to sleep? Take care of your body, and if you have sleep, with an infusion you will have more than enough to warm the body and prepare for a good restful sleep.
4. Sign up for a gym
If you are not convinced going out for a workout, you can sign up for a gym. There you will enjoy classes tailored to everyone's level, in order to find motivation among all the people in the class. Some have a jacuzzi and sauna to reward yourself after a good sweat.
5. Eat healthy foods between hours
If you like to snack between hours you can continue doing it, but the nougat and sweets are over! Do it with nuts, fruit, strips of vegetables, hummus, an infusion... This way you will keep the energy longer and arrive hungry for the next meal.
6. Drink fasting water and lemon
Drinking a glass of warm water with lemon each morning has many benefits, including detoxifying the body, improving blood circulation, immunity, clearing excesses and helping you lose weight. Why not do it every day then?
7. Chew food heavily
They say that digestion does not begin in the stomach but in the mouth. So we can make digestion easy for our body if we well chew! If we do it, we promote nutrient uptake and the digestion. So, take your time to chew and eat slowly!
8. Exercise: Early in the morning
Do you find it hard to get out of bed in morning? Keep in mind that training during the first hours of the day helps to lose more weight because there is less carbohydrate to burn and the body burns energy reserves (that is, the nougat you have stored for Christmas). :-)
Above all, you don't have to be obsessed. Fortunately, the excesses of the holidays only last a few days, there is plenty of time and time to implement these tips that we propose to burn the excesses of Christmas! And if you are convinced, you can incorporate them into your daily life. Take care of yourself and be in good health all year long!
