Among the regions of Osona, Ripollès and La Garrotxa, you will find Mas Arxer, a
17th-century rural house fully restored in a unique, natural setting, with enchanting views. The house is located in the municipality of Vidrà, accessible via a path surrounded by mountains, lush forests and pastures for native cows.
Mas Arxer has a unique style, combining the
original stone, iron elements and extensive handcrafted woodwork, evoking a special charm reminiscent of a forest cabin. The layout has been designed for the comfort of a large group: on the
ground floor there is a fully equipped and open plan
kitchen leading into the
dining room. Next to the dining room is a large living room on different levels, adapted to house’s natural structure and equipped with a fireplace and TV. This floor also has a second
living room and a
double bedroom with a private bathroom.
Going up to the
first floor by impressive handmade wooden stairs, there are
two seating areas with a second fireplace and
4 double bedrooms, all with private bathrooms.
On the
second floor there are
4 bedrooms, all with their own private bathrooms: two double bedrooms and two triple bedrooms. The
entire house has heating and is perfectly insulated to maintain an optimal temperature throughout the year.
The
exterior of the house is one of its highlights, a
landscaped area blending into panoramic views of the mountains of the Milany and Santa Magdalena ranges. Next to the house, there is a large
porch equipped with a long table to enjoy meals with the whole group, a
cold kitchen and the
large barbecue with a wood oven. Behind the porch you’ll find the old barn, now turned into a
games room equipped with a pool table, ping-pong table, table football and darts. The
swimming pool completes the space to enjoy the peace and tranquility that the house transmits, built with stone and integrated into the surroundings.
The stay includes a basket of locally sourced products for breakfast, which guests will find at the house upon arrival.
