During part of its history, Viladecans was under the rule of the monastery of Sant Cugat. Later, it became the property of Guillem Burgès who also dominated Gavà. One of the most visited places in the town is its beach. Its waters are very clean and calm, so you can bathe with confidence.
Culture is also deeply rooted in Viladecans. We recommend that you visit the Atrium Cultural Centre , one of the most modern theaters in the region.
One of the most important natural spaces in the Baix Llobregat are the wetlands that make up the Llobregat delta. On one side you have the Baix Llobregat Agricultural Park where you will find one of the oldest agricultural areas in the country as well as a great biodiversity. It is estimated that there are more or less 350 species of birds as well as wild mammals. On the other hand, in the nature reserve of Remolar - Philippines there is a great botanical wealth and protected areas for birds.
If you walk through the center of Viladecans, you will be able to observe some buildings that are made of red stone, which gives them a unique image. One of the best known is the Baron's tower, an old feudal residence from the twelfth century. You must also see Can Modolell, a palace that was built at the beginning of the 20th century and is in a modernist style.
