The origins of Vilanova del Camí go back to the old rural road that served as a link between Barcelona and Lleida. However, the current municipality was born from the union in 1830 of the towns of Quadra de Vilanova and Vilanova del Camí. Fun activities are organized throughout the year that are very popular in the region. Some of the best known are the Sant Hilari Fair, the Diversity Festival or the Christmas Fair.

Visit the Museu de l'Aigua

Located to the right of the Anoia river, the Museu de l'Aigua is located in a space that had been an old draper's mill. The building dates from the 18th century and since 1925 has served as a museum and the headquarters of the water exploitation company. It houses pieces that were used to bring water up from the depths as well as different scientific instruments.

Enjoy a unique river environment

The natural surroundings of Vilanova del Camí invite you to do all kinds of outdoor activities. From the center of the town, paths and trails lead into unique natural areas. One of the best-known spaces is the Anoia riverbank. It is a place where the typical riverside flora and fauna have been recovered and a large River Park has been created, where educational activities are organized on the use of water.
