If you want to know the history of this town, the best way to do it is to walk through its streets and squares. One of the best known buildings is the parish church of Santa Maria. It dates from the 11th century and houses a Romanesque carving of Santa Maria de Veciana. Very close by is the church of Sant Pere del Vim, a single-nave building that preserves Romanesque wall paintings. It is worth visiting the remains of the old castle of Segur. It was demolished in 1616 and during excavations a part with two towers and an exit underground passage was found.
