Popular tradition is deeply rooted in the municipality. There are many festivals that are celebrated throughout the year. The Feast of the Virgin has been celebrated for more than 300 years on May 12. Other festivals have a clear gastronomic component such as calçotada or garlic festival.
The town's historical heritage is of great value. If you walk through the streets of its historic center you will be able to see buildings that are in a good state of conservation. You can also take the opportunity to do some of the hiking routes that you will find signposted.
The first written documents about Passanant i Belltall appeared in 1079. During the 14th century it was under the rule of the Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem. All this historical past is reflected in many of the buildings and monuments that you can see if you visit the old part of the town. The parish church of Sant Jaume was built at the end of the 17th century and has an altarpiece dedicated to the Virgin of Passanant. Another building of interest is the church of Sant Pere , a neoclassical building dating from the 19th century.
Passanant i Belltall borders the Segarra plateau. Several tributaries pass through the town and end up in the Corb river. All this means that you can go on numerous excursions through nature while discovering the native flora and fauna of the municipality. You also have routes that cross the cereal fields and that offer you views of their spectacular lands.
